NodeText® Gateway is the appropriate choice for customers sending automated or high volumes of SMS messages. How It Works

NodeText® Gateway requires that custom software be developed by the customer - ie it is not compatible with a simple web browser interface. NodeText® Gateway uses a standards-based approach using Get or Post requests from the client, and corresponding responses from our gateway. The interface is also commonly described as a TCP Gateway interface.

In general Internode do not create the client software (as this is typically a minor component of the customer's unique application), however limited technical assistance is available at $150 per hour. An interface specification document is available here : NodeText® Gateway User Guide

Source Aliasing

This feature means that the received text message will appear to come from your own mobile phone service (rather than an SMS message centre). This means the recipient can simply press Reply on their mobile phone and start typing, to send a response directly back to your mobile phone. You can pre-define up to 10 'source' mobile phone numbers to take advantage of this feature.

Format of the Message

The text message is obtained in a very clearly defined interaction between your application and our gateway. A message that is longer than 160 characters will be split into two or more text transmissions of up to 160 characters each.

Plans and Pricing

Customers are charged for establishment of the service ($50 once-off) and then billed monthly, according to the number of SMS messages sent and their selected usage plan:

Changing the authentication parameters, alias numbers or pre-approved destination numbers after the initial order involves a once-off $25 configuration charge.
