Geotrust SSL Certificates are available for your web site, to provide a robust and ubiquitous solution for the secure transfer of commercially sensitive information - for example, credit card numbers - between your customers and your web site.
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a protocol for transmitting private information across the Internet, using a web browser client. SSL uses a cryptographic system involving two keys to encrypt data − a public key known to everyone, and a private or secret key known only to the recipient of the message.
All Internet browsers support SSL, and many Web sites use the protocol whenever confidential user information - such as credit card numbers - is required.
By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https instead of http.
The Geotrust SSL Server Certificate enables SSL on your web server, thereby giving you the ability to communicate securely with your online customers.
Each service is $100 establishment and $240 per annum; and includes a static IP address (for the secure server), and the signing and renewal of the certificate each year.
All quoted pricing includes GST.
