Internode Mailbox Manager

The Internode Mailbox Manager allows you to create and remove additional email boxes for your personal use. Each Extra Mailbox is protected by a unique username and password, and stores messages separately from your other accounts. This makes Extra Mailboxes ideal for family members who require their own email accounts. Up to five (one primary plus four additional accounts) can be established at no charge with an Internode Broadband service.

Spam Blocking

With a large amount of email traffic consisting of unwanted 'spam', having effective Spam Blocking and mail quarantining provides you with real time benefits.

Internode's email system scans incoming email and determines a 'spam rating' for each piece of email based on a variety of elements of each message. If the 'spam rating' is above a threshold level (which you can control), the incoming message is quarantined into a special area on our server, rather than being delivered into your mailbox.

Any message that is held by our system can be viewed, delivered, or 'allowed' (delivered and also added to a list of permitted future senders). If not otherwise dealt with by you, these quarantined messages are deleted from our system automatically after 14 days.

Virus Filtering

Our email system also includes Virus filtering. By default, if anyone sends you email containing a virus, it will be blocked from being delivered to you - protecting your computer from the potential of being infected by a virus coming in via the email system.

Mail Forwarding

Internode's mail system also provides you with the ability to automatically forward email for your Internode mailbox to another email destination.

Auto Respond

There is also an auto-respond facility which can automatically send a responding email to people who send email to you. A typical use for this facility is as a 'vacation message', to tell your friends when you are away from your mail for a while.

Secure Email

Secure Email is available at no extra charge and means that the information flowing between your mail client and our servers is secured using SSL, the same encryption system that is used for secure web pages. This makes the information flowing between your email program and our mail servers safe from prying eyes 'in the middle' - especially useful for roaming email retrieval. It means that even when using wireless hotspots (such as the Internode Wireless Hotspot Network) or other potentially 'insecure' Internet access locations, you can retrieve and send email without anyone else having access to it along the way.

Pricing

An Internode email account is included with all Internode Broadband services, and up to four additional email accounts can be established at no extra charge.

Additional email services beyond this inclusion are also available if required - $30 establishment per order; and $30 per annum per email account.
